Thought of the week: Alan considers the value of trusted relationships
One of the few certainties in our modern world is the enduring importance of relationships based on trust. We are more comfortable, more secure and we work more effectively with colleagues, contacts and organisations that we trust.
Trust takes time to build, and therefore requires a conscious investment of time and effort. It is also very difficult to embed trust in a business process or a transactional way of working.
This is our challenge, therefore – how can we maintain a human touch within our daily work, managing processes and delivering results while also continuing to maintain those vital trust based relationships?
