More than four in five respondents to IGD's Supply Chain Leaders' survey believe
that the Supply Chain function plays a more strategic role in the business now.
Highlighted in our latest Special Focus presentation, 'Responding to the
Recession & Beyond', the research brings to light that in order to build a
competitive advantage in the market place, retailers are increasingly focusing
on supply chain efficiency to deliver cost savings. And, with a clearer
understanding of where Supply Chain can add value, it is seen as a significant
part of the competitive advantage now.
