The Consumer Goods Forum (CFG) has announced the unanimous election of Tom Rose as the Retail Chair (Co-Chair) of the End-to-End Value Chain & Standards Pillar (E2EVC).
Unanimous election in Barcelona
Mr Rose has been unanimously appointed during the steering committee meeting that took place in Barcelona last April. He joins Manufacturer Chair Barron Witherspoon, Global VP, Industry Affairs at P&G to co-lead the committee. Mr Rose fills a position that’s been previously vacant following changes within the committee in the last few years.
At Spar, Mr Rose is responsible internationally for leveraging the potential opportunities surfacing from the 246 SPAR distribution centres around the globe.
Speaking about the appointment, Tobias Wasmuht, managing director of SPAR International said: “Industry collaboration is at the core of the SPAR strategy of delivering value to our customers in 48 countries around the world. With 13,112 stores generating a turnover of €35.8 billion in 2018, SPAR recognises the significant opportunities that increased industry collaboration offers in terms of reducing waste, improving efficiencies and adding value to the end consumer. At SPAR, we very much welcome this and are delighted with Tom’s appointment as co-chair.”
