German discounter Lidl has opened a new logistics centre in the municipality of Zalec, in central Slovenia.
70 million euros
According to the retailer, the new €70 million logistics centre, spanning 13 hectares, will help shorten transportation times and lower its greenhouse gas emissions. It will also increase the retailer’s storage capacities and upgrade its operations in the country.
Lidl has entered the Slovenian market back in 2007, where it simultaneously opened 15 stores in the country’s largest cities.
